Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Supervisor Operator – Full Time
Department of Public Works

Overview:

The Town of Warner, NH has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Supervisor of town buildings and facilities including grounds maintenance, all seasons. Successful candidate must be familiar with building systems, basic construction, operation of equipment & machinery, trouble shooting and overseeing of vendor services, work orders and contracts.

Job Summary:

This is a general labor / supervisory position under the direction of the Director of Public Works, requires a moderate level of self-initiation and minimum supervision where work assignments may vary frequently depending on the needs of the department and regular and special maintenance requirements of public town buildings.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, supervising routine maintenance and repairs to structure, mechanical /electrical /emergency alarm systems in town buildings, etc. and performing minor repair projects involving electrical work, plumbing and carpentry as training and skill level allows. Also perform snow plowing and snow removal, lawn care and other tasks typical of a general laborer position in the Public Works Dept. The person in this position will always maintain a professional manner when dealing with the public and with co-workers.

Requirements:

  • must hold valid NH driver license with clean driving record
  • must pass a background check and drug test
  • minimum 2 years experience in construction / property management
  • able to be on call 24/7
  • able to work long hours including nights, holidays & weekends as needed during emergencies
  • able to perform routine maintenance on equipment (i.e. lubricating, fueling and cleaning)
  • do physical labor as needed
  • interact professionally with other town employees and public.
