Construction / Paving Projects

Pumpkin Hill Rd Construction Project - Beginning 09/03/19

Construction began the week of September 3, 2019. Construction starts at #624 and proceeds to the Town Line. One lane roadway with delays are possible. Please observe caution while transiting the area. This project is in process. Pumpkin Hill will not be complete until middle of October. Paving on Pumpkin Hill is tentatively planned for 9th or 10th then clean-up.

Kearsarge Mountain Rd Paving - 09/20/19

Paving on Kearsarge Mountain Road from Latting Lane to near Tory Rock began on Friday, September 20. Additional work is starting Wednesday, 10/2, and will probably be a week doing paved swales and matching in driveways.

Town of Warner - PUBLIC NOTICE

Assessors Are On The Way!

The Town of Warner will be completing the on-going assessing process of properties that began in March 2019. The reassessment of the town is scheduled to be completed later in tax year 2020. Residents can expect assessors from M&N Assessing Services, who will be wearing identification badges to come to their doors and ask to perform an exterior and interior inspection. The inspection should take less than 10 minutes and assessors can only be let in by a resident 18 years or older. If the owner is not home, the assessor will leave a card advising of their presence on your property.

Volunteer Opportunities

All Town Boards and committees consist of volunteers who reside in the Town of Warner. These volunteers work toward solving complex issues and setting and recommending policy that helps to shape the kind of community in which we live. Warner is fortunate to have many potential volunteers whose skill and technical knowledge can be applied in Town Government.

There are various opportunities available to correspond with your expertise and/or interest. Appointments to board and committee vacancies may occur throughout the year as positions become available and/or vacant. Boards and Committees which may have openings in the upcoming year are listed below:

If you would like to be a part of our Town Government, please initiate the process for appointment by completing the Volunteer Interest Application Form and return it as indicated. Please note that all candidates for appointment are interviewed.

Involuntarily Merged Lots

If you own real estate lots that were involuntarily merged by municipal action, you may be able to have those lots restored to their pre-merger status. Your property may qualify if two or more lots were merged for zoning, assessing, or taxation purposes and the merger occurred:
  • During your ownership, without your consent;
  • Prior to your ownership, if no previous owner consented to the merger.
To restore your property to pre-merger status, you must: Once restored:
  • Your properties will once again become separate lots;
  • however, they must still conform to applicable landuse ordinances.
  • Restoration does not cure non-conformity.

Preservation of Historic Barns

The preservation of historic barns over 75 years old, is encouraged by granting property tax relief within a range of 25-75% reduction in the structure’s assessment, to owners who (a) can demonstrate the public benefit of preserving their barns or other historic farm buildings, and (b) agree to maintain their structures during the minimum 10-year easement.  Information is available at nhpreservation.org and application form PA-36 https://revenue.nh.gov/forms/2017/documents/pa-36.pdf are available at the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration and must be filed on or before April 15 of the tax year the easement is to be granted.

Solar Array Exemption

For all new Solar Array Owners, you must APPLY for the solar array exemption before April 15th of any given year. You must fill out Form PA-29 found on the Department of Revenues web site or the form can be picked up at the Assessing Office in the Town Hall during office hours. You must provide a copy of the bill showing the cost of the array, the amount of the rebate from the PUC, and the amount of the tax deduction that was applied for or received. You must also include the number of panels and how many kW they produce.

The Warner Village Water District Commissioners will meet regularly on the Second and Fourth Wednesday of every month at 9:00 AM at the treatment Plant, 55 West Joppa Rd, Warner NH.
